We have SO many incredible dogs of ALL breeds ready and patiently waiting (sadly, on average 2-3 years) for their forever homes. Meet some of them below! We aim to review all applications within a week, but due to us just being a tiny team size overseeing adoptions, please bear with us! Be sure to check your spam/junk emails after applying.

Large/XL Pups

These are our pups that are 16kg (35lbs) and over, and considered large/XL sized.

Medium Pups

These are our pups that are 8kg - 16kg (18-35lbs) and considered medium sized.

Small Pups

These are our pups that are 8kg (17lbs) or less and considered small sized.

Adoption Info

Where we adopt

We currently adopt to: The US, The UK, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Holland & Germany

We only adopt where we have a support network, ensuring we can always be there for our rescues even after adoption. It's not due to logistics, it's about ensuring the ongoing safety and security of our pups once they leave the Safehouse.

We work with partner rescues, but we also handle adoptions privately - you’ll see that information listed in the animal profiles.

Process

STEP 1: We receive an application - you can apply for a particular animal, or leave it blank if you are open to suggestions based on what you're looking for in a new family member.

STEP 2: We review the applications usually within a week. We're a tiny team, so do ask for some patience and be sure to check your spam folder from a response from us!

STEP 3: If the application is successful, we will complete a home check via video chat.

STEP 4: If the home check is approved, we will then start the matching process. We will ensure that we feel the animal is a good fit. This is really important.

STEP 5: Once the match is secured, we will begin travel plans. This can take some time and depends on the location. It can take on average between 2-5 months.

Costs

We don’t charge an adoption fee, so the cost is solely to transport your pup home. Current costs are as follows:

$1500 US | £1000 UK | €850 for Europe

The transport cost covers: The airline fee, the transport from the Safehouse in Harbin to either Beijing or Shanghai, the exit paperwork, any import paperwork, any domestic transport to the adoptive home, crate + more.

We realize it’s a big cost, but they also come to you fully vaccinated and neutered/spayed. We also take a lot of the guesswork out of rescuing. Your animal will have gone through likely years of mental and physical rehabilitation before getting to you and you’ll have knowledge into their personality, behaviors and medical history which rarely ever happens when adopting.

Note: If the animal is already with one of our partner rescues in your area, you’ll instead pay that rescues adoption fee.
