SHS Animals
Inevitably, as the years go on, and our rescue numbers increase, so do the number of animals in our care that are not suitable for adoption.
We call these our sanctuary animals. These animals either are species unsuitable for international travel or domestic living, or have been so badly treated previously, that they have ongoing behavioral and/or medical needs making it unsafe to re-home them.
Despite not being able to live out their lives in their own families and homes, we are their family and we promise to always provide them with a loving, safe, and healthy environment for the rest of their lives.
We rely on our monthly donors to help us provide this for them.
If you can spare even £1/$1/€1 a month, it goes a long way for these ever increasing Safehouse residents.
Please consider supporting our amazing sanctuary animals on a monthly basis so we can have a sense of stability and won’t need to beg as much.

Cat Base
Unfortunately, due to the lack of cat applications we get and the challenges we face in keeping up with all the profiles with a small team, we have decided to consider our cats part of our sanctuary crew and shift our efforts to providing them a home here.
Through loads of fundraising and amazing donors, we were finally able to open the cat base for our 300+ cats (and Simon the fox) where we can provide these felines with a safe space to roam around, play, sunbathe and be gorgeous for the rest of their lives, far away from the noisy dogs.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are still interested in adopting a cat from us or want to bring one home with you after visiting, by all means, we welcome it and would love to see these felines find the forever homes they deserve.
If that’s you, please e-mail us at info@harbinshs.com and we’ll gladly help find you a match!
